Helping Hands of Haywood relies on donations from our community members and sponsors to achieve our mission of  increasing the well-being of our community, especially to those who are disenfranchised, experiencing homelessness, or insecure shelter in Haywood County and western North Carolina. Our consistently most needed donation items are hygiene supplies, sleeping bags, hats, gloves, jackets, socks, and shelf stable snacks and food items. Monetary donations are used for emergency shelter and street outreach programs. Emergency shelter is offered for families, couples, individuals without shelter when the weather temperature is below freezing, single parents with children, those experiencing a medical emergency and who can not access shelter anywhere else. In addition to the donation of supplies and monetary donations, we welcome anyone who wants to invest their time volunteering with our organization.
